Indeed, I saw Watchmen the other day and I liked it. It was a fun dance of comics and cinema. Now I know a lot of people have been dissapointed with Watchmen for various reasons:
1. It tries too hard to stay to the comic;
2. It does not really take you into their world like “300″;
3. Half the cast’s acting is dryer than the guy playing Kissinger;
4. Its too long;
5. They turned the movie into a lover’s quarrel between John and Specter; and
6. They just look ridiculous in those costumes.
My response to these arguments is:
It could have been a lot worse!

Hello all,
Your probably asking, “Why, when you don’t have a job, have you not been updating?” Well the short answer is, “I’ve been busy”. Indeed these past few weeks I have been receiving various gigs and side jobs that I would have never had time for if I had been working at my former job. Plus, they are a lot more fun to do.
I’m not sure how long God will keep me on this train, or where it will lead. But for now it is best if I ride this money train out.

Its a simple fact that you get what you pay for, that applies to design as well. I recently visited a site called where for $50 you could get 6 logos designs with unlimited revisions. They would then send you the file along with the font (which is illegal by the way) for you to resize.
Now I’m not going to be a jerk and say their designs were poorly executed or hard to read. But I will say that even a rookie art student knows not to use clip-art for a logo. What’s worse their web site is full of copy from other websites and pixelated images.
So my advice if you strapped for cash is to save the $50 and make a simple text logo in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Paint.
-Alter the font
-Change the size, color, angle, etc.
-Be imaginative and have fun with it.
-But try not to be cliche’
-And make sure it is readable
You will save yourself time and money; and most likely create a better brand.
